Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an effective form of healthcare, which is part of the complete and holistic medical system knows as Chinese Medicine. Practitioners of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have used this non-invasive medical technique to diagnose and help millions of people get well and stay healthy.
The acupuncture points are small areas of increased electrical sensitivity. Multiple biological responses occur when acupuncture points are stimulated, this allows the body to regain it's natural ability to heal itself and return to normal function.
Acupuncture not only alleviates physical pain, it also benefits people who struggle with: PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addictions.
Acupuncture is also remarkably successful in treating fertility challenges such as ovulatory disorders, PCOS, endometriosis, recurrent miscarriages, male fertility factors, and IVF
I hold a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University, in Santa Cruz, Ca. I became a Utah board certified acupuncturist in 2009. Since 1996, I have been involved in the healthcare field in some way. I have worked with a variety of practitioners which has served to enhance my knowledge of Eastern and Western healing modalities. I draw from my extensive background, active and busy lifestyle and parenting experience to bring empathy, skills and wisdom to my patients. Through interacting with and treating patients, I have come to the realization that acupuncture and Chinese medicine have so much more to offer than short term pain relief. These healing techniques have a unique ability to create balance in one’s life by improving sleep, lowering stress, improving digestion and boosting vitality. This is something I have witnessed in my own life and strive to help others create that as well. I practice a blend of Chinese, Five Element acupuncture and 8 Extra Acupuncture, Mei Zen Cosmetic acupuncture, cupping and heat therapy, along with acupressure, Asian bodywork, massage, herbology and holistic nutrition.
In addition, I am skilled in treating children, ranging from newborns to adolescents. I am trained in therapeutic techniques for children, including Tui Na, pediatric massage and acupressure. I focus on treating the whole person, not just a set of symptoms, and I've found a deep interest in body-mind connection. My mission is to provide the highest quality healthcare possible to you and your family so you can enjoy a sense of balance and unlimited well-being.
